Students spent some quality time in the media center today doing some discovery research. A thesis statement and guiding questions were due at the end of the period, with final decisions to be made by Monday (by me) regarding who gets to research which topic. Today’s goal was to be sure students chose a broad enough topic without it being too narrow. I was quite lenient with the topic choices as I want students to be enthusiastic about their research. As long as they are able to directly relate their topic to Anne Frank, it was acceptable.
On Monday we will spend time in the computer lab. Students will need note cards on which they will keep their notes and source citations. Please be sure all students have these. If any student has trouble procuring note cards, I will be happy to help.
Have a fabulous weekend!
